We live on a farm in Northeast Indiana. Our dogs are family dogs.. I first got interested in Golden Retrievers when I was in high school. I had a girl friend that trained German Shepherds.  Since we lived a distance from town she needed someone to ride with her.  I fell in love with the color and intelligence of the breed.  When I got married in 1962 that was the first thing that we got. At that time there were not too many Goldens and we had to search to find one.  We found  Buddy and brought him home.  He loved to play ball and no matter how high you would throw the ball he could catch it.  We moved to the country and he had a bigger yard.  He learned to dig under the fence and got hit on the road.  Our search began again for what I thought was the perfect dog.  She was the last of a litter of 18. It had taken us a year to find her.

Through the years there have been several goldens. Our boys showed them in 4H obedience and won many prizes.  We would have a litter of pups to replace an older one to keep the line going. I started a dog club in Ohio which is still going and winning alot of prizes.

There will be new articles and pictures added often. I have also written a book about Golden Retrievers so be sure to check it out along with my other books.  I have several more works in progress that will be added as we go along.

I also paint and do photograpy and have won various prizes. These will be on display also.

I am a prize winning cook and have two cookbooks out.  I will update often with a new recipe so be sure to check out that page..
